25.03.2009 MJM Group wins RoSPA Silver Occupational Health & Safety Award

MJM Group of Newry, Co. Down is celebrating winning one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards in 2009.

David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager said: "MJM Group has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. Entering the RoSPA Awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business, and clearly demonstrates and organisation's dedication to improving performance in this crucial area."

Tracey Martin, MJM Group Health & Safety Officer said: "As a company we have stepped up our focus on Health and Safety, and I feel that our progression from a bronze award last year to a silver award this year is testament to this.

We are currently undergoing accreditation of our health and safety management system to OSHAS 18001, which demonstrates our management commitment to the health, safety and welfare of our staff at all levels.

We have also dedicated two of our staff to oversee our health & safety on a daily basis as opposed to out-sourcing this function.

The objective is to achieve gold in 2010, so watch this space
